My next current read…

My next read is ‘The Practice of Not Thinking - A Guide to Mindful Thinking’. I am only a few chapters, page 14. The topics I read so far are ‘Withdrawing into our brain decreases our power of concentration, ‘The three disturbing emotions; desire, anger and uncertainty, ‘training to discipline the mind in the right way etc. This book was first written in Japan and translated into English by Eriko Sugita. It is something new that I am reading, which I have as it is solved, and sometimes we all that some words and ideas get lost in translation. It refers to Buddhism and being mindful of what and how we do certain things- like buying products in the shop or washing the dishes by saving money and energy by conserving water and little amount of washing liquid. The ideas presented in the book, and there is much more to go through till I finish the book.

(However, I think I am in a reading slump, as I feel like I am reading, but I am intrigued or excited, and I have forgotten what I have read; therefore, I got to re-read the few pages that I started with and be mindful of what I am reading. I had a lot going on in my life which is why I have not read much and do not feel like remembering what I read, or maybe this is not the book for now, and I might read something else and return to it.)

I have been going through this during my reading time. Sometimes we all have a fair share of reading slumps or not in the mood, which might last a while which it has for me or sometimes too long, which is excellent news, but this standard and I am learning to get through it, and if you feel the same, we are in the same boat so don’t worry! WE CAN ALL HAVE A CHAT ABOUT THIS AS PEOPLE DON’T USUALLY TALK ABOUT THINGS LIKE THIS, AND IT IS SOMEWHAT HIDDEN!
